New Orleans Louisiana Festivals

New Orleans' most famous and boisterous festival, Mardi Gras, which translates as Fat Tuesday, is a weeklong celebration when New Orleans celebrates its Creole heritage with parades, beads, parties, cocktails, doubloon coins, King Cakes, and costumed revelers in the streets. Mardi Gras is officially the day before Ash Wednesday, but can occur anytime between February 3rd and March 9th, depending on when Easter falls.
